Quicky Privacy Policy

1. The Short Version

Quicky does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Quicky is a native menu-bar / quick-access app by Codeja Infotech, available for macOS and Windows. It runs entirely on your device — your shortcuts, Sets, and settings live only on your computer and never leave it. This policy covers both platforms; where they differ, the difference is called out.

2. Data We Collect

None, on either platform. Quicky has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. There are no accounts. We do not have a server that receives information about you or how you use the app.

3. Your Files

Quicky does not read the contents of your files. When you pin a file, folder, or app, Quicky stores only a reference that lets it reopen exactly the item you chose — on macOS this is a secure security-scoped "bookmark"; on Windows it is the path/shortcut you selected. Either way, Quicky keeps only that reference, nothing about the file's contents. Web links you add open in your default browser; Quicky does not track which links you open.

4. Where Your Data Lives

Everything Quicky saves stays on your device:

Windows: your Sets, shortcuts, and settings are stored locally under %APPDATA%\Quicky.
macOS: stored in the app's standard preferences and application-support locations under your user Library (or the app's sandbox container when installed from the Mac App Store).

None of it is transmitted anywhere. Removing the app removes its stored data.

5. Network Use

Quicky is designed to run offline. Whether it ever connects depends on which version you have.

Microsoft Store (Windows) version: makes no network connections at all.
Mac App Store (macOS) version: makes no network connections at all.
Direct-download update checks: the installed Windows direct-download build checks GitHub over HTTPS up to once a day to see whether a newer version is available; you can turn this off in Settings. The macOS direct-download build checks for updates the same way using the standard Sparkle update framework, over HTTPS. These checks carry only the standard information any web request includes (such as your IP address and app version) and are used only to offer you updates — never your files, shortcuts, or identity.
License validation: the current version of Quicky has no license activation and launches without any gate — so it makes no licensing request. When license activation is enabled — as on the macOS direct-download version that uses it — entering a license key sends only that key to our licensing provider to verify your purchase; that request never includes your identity, your files, or your shortcuts.

6. Third Parties

Quicky bundles one open-source component on macOS (the KeyboardShortcuts library, used to record your global shortcut) which runs entirely on-device and sends nothing anywhere. App update checks, when enabled, contact GitHub (Windows direct build) or use Sparkle (macOS direct build) purely to look for a newer version. License validation, where it applies, is handled by our payment/licensing provider, who receives only the license key you enter at activation — nothing else.

7. Your Rights

Because Quicky collects nothing, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete — your data is only ever on your own device. Removing the app removes its stored shortcuts and settings. If you have any questions about this policy, email us at support@codejainfotech.com.
